The Importance of Microchips!

Hi again.

This week I wanted to talk about something REALLY important. How to get home if you're lost!

Sadly,1 in 3 pets goes missing during it's lifetime and without ID, 90% of us never return home!

Getting a microchip is the easiest and most effective way to get home to your loved ones if you're lost! A microchip is a permanent ID that links you to your family.

It's just a bit bigger than a grain of rice and the chip is inserted with a simple injection between your shoulders. It doesn't even hurt! When I got mine, I bareley noticed!

The chip has a number that is unique to you. After the implantation, your family enrolls your number along with all of their contact information in an international registry data base.

Then if you get lost and someone takes you to a animal shelter or a veterinarian to be scanned, your number is found and the registry is called. Then you're matched with your owner's information and you get to go home again!

A collar ID tag is also very important. And I'll actually talk about those in an upcoming Post. The best part about a microchip is that it can never be taken off, lost or fall off.

So call us today and make an appointment. You'll fell better, your family will feel better and a microchip is the best chance for a happy homecoming!

Stay safe!

Happy Visits!

Hi. It's me again.

Sometimes coming to the Hospital can give you the jitters. A Doctor's visit and shots can be a little scary.

But, I'm here to let you know there's no reason to be nervous.

We actually make things pretty comfortable for you, when you come in!

First: There's a whole bunch of people here to love you up!  The Doctors, Technicians, Receptionists and Kennel Attendants are the best head patters and tummy rubbers ever!

Second: there's plenty of treats! We have some really yummy Doggie and Kitty treats. There are two big jars in our Reception area that are full of goodies. So there's plenty!

Third: we also have an awesome "Rest Stop" area! So if you need to take a walk or get a breath of fresh air, you've got cool spot to take a break. There's even a replica of a fire hydrant to check out!

We also have some things to make your "Mom" and "Dad" feel more comfortable too. There's a Coffee Bar in our Lobby with plenty of hot, freshly brewed coffee and ice cold water.

So don't be nervous. We're here to help make your visit pleasant, friendly and hopefully fun.

And if you need anything, just let us know!
