How I Know My Kitty Loves Me!

Hi Again,

This week I thought I'd talk about something that I think is really important:

How I know my cat loves me!

There's some pretty funny things that my "Kitty Brother" does, and it sounds like all cats do too. And this behavior  shows us they love us!

So here's some typical examples of they do:

  • "The Boinking Thing": That's when a cat literally bumps his  head on yours! It's their way of saying "I like you".

  • "Super Power Purrs": When a Kitty is really happy, they Purr really loud. It means they're really content!

  • "Love Bites": This is'nt always fun for us, cause it can really hurt! But, I guess that's their way of saying "I love you".

  • "Tummy Up": When a cat rolls on his back and shows you his tummy, it means they really trust you. It's a pretty big deal in "Cat Language"!

  • "Licking Your Hair or Ears": OK, I have to admit, this kind of gives me the willies, but a cat that does this to you, really likes you! And I have to admit, I do this too..

  • "Kneading" or as we like to say at The Hospital "Making Biscuits": This is a for sure sign that a Kitty is super happy and content. It actually mimics the behavior of a kitten nursing on it's Mommy.

  • "Napping On Or Near You": I think that every Cat owner has had their kitty sleep on their head from time to time. I know my Kitty likes to sleep on me. And considering he weighs about twenty pounds, sometimes I feel squished. But, I know he loves me!

  • "Giving Presents": This can get pretty gross. If given the chance your Kitty might bring you a mouse! But, hopefully you have an indoor cat and the worst thing may be a toy.

Some of these things sound pretty silly. But, to your Cat, it's serious business. It's thier way of showing you how much the love and appreciate you.

So the next time you wake up with your Kitty sleeping on your head or you have to put a Band-Aid on a love bite, you'll know you're loved. And you know what? I love my Kitty too!
