Sometimes I get nervous.
It usually happens when my Mom is away from me for more than a few hours.
The most common thing I do when my Mom is gone, is hide. In my mind an hour turns into days and I get pretty depressed.
I can also get upset when I'm chewing on a treat and one of the other doggies comes near me. I don't mean to, but I can get pretty nasty.
There's a lot of reasons to feel anxious or nervous. Such as:
- Thunderstorms
- Moving to a new home
- Traveling
- Fireworks
- New people or a baby in the household
- Being home alone
- Riding in the car
Dogs show uneasiness through changes in behavior. Signs like excessive barking, chewing, licking, drooling and having accidents.
I've actually done some of these...
The good news is that there are ways to help ease our feelings of anxiety.
The first step in that your Mom or Dad notices that something isn't quite right.
Your families observations are very important to help your Doctor find the best treatment for you. And Zylkene, a medication that we have here at The Hospital, is one of the treatments our Doctors recommend.
Zylkene contains a natural product, derived from casein, a protein in milk well known to promote the relaxation of newborns after breastfeeding.
Zylkene is an all natural, non sedative supplement which reduces the signs of stress and helps restore balance and harmony in Cats and Dogs. With no known side effects.
So, if you're feeling down or maybe a bit nervous, have your Mom or Dad call the Hospital and talk to us. We'll help you figure out how to be your happy and non stressed self!
And who wants to go through life with a bunch of worries?
I sure don't,
