Cat Condos!
Hi, It's Speck.
This week I wanted to tell about where my Cat Friends stay when they're boarding here at the Hospital. The Cat Condos!
Dogs aren't allowed in the Condos, but I got special permission to check it out. My friend Aphrodite showed me around and they're really awesome!
Our Condo area is located in a very quiet place in the Hospital. Some Kitties get stressed out by noises or barking dogs, so we make sure it's nice and quiet in there.
Each Condo has a super fluffy bed. There's even extra blankets available, in case you like to "hide".
And every Condo is multi level, just like a real Condo! So you can jump around and hang out on different "perches"!
You also have your choice of wet or dry food or both! You can even bring your own food from home if that makes you more comfortable.
There's even a special place in your Condo for your litter box, so that won't get in your way. And there's plenty of toys too!
A beautiful mural is on one of the walls. It's really cool! There's images of birds, mice, fish and other relaxing things to gaze at while boarding with us.
The Condos can also be connected together, with an "Upgrade"! So if you're boarding with a friend, there's plenty of room. Or if you'd like to get a bigger Condo for yourself and get more exercise, you can!
We'll do everything we can to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and happy during your stay with us.
There's no place like home, but I think the Cat Condos are a pretty cool place to stay,

Our Pet Store!
Speck, here again.
This week I thought I might tell you about a pretty cool place here at Laguna Hills Animal Hospital. Our Pet Store!
The Pet Store is located just off of Reception, in our front lobby. There's a lot of great things in there for Dogs and Cats and even people too!
Our special prescription diets are really important and a big part of our Store! We have the Hills brand of Dog and Cat foods and Royal Canin foods too. Both of these are exceptional diets.
In the Supplements area, we have many great aides that help keep you healthy and happy. We have plenty of Vitamins too!
If you need help with training, we've got that covered. There's tons of stuff to help with any "issue" you might have. Even treats that make taking your medication really easy!
Dental care is super important and there's a whole section of chews, treats, toothpastes and brushes to help keep your mouth healthy and your smile bright!
Our Treat Area is the greatest! There's so many yummy things to choose from! Chews, cookies and more! This is actually, my favorite section!
There's also an awesome toy selection! You can find just about any toy, in any size, shape or color you might like! We even have fashionable leashes and collars too!
We also have an awesome variety of shampoos, conditioners and even perfumes! So you can look your best and smell great!
The best part about shopping with us, is that EVERYTHING in the Pet Store is totally guaranteed! If one of our products or diets doesn't meet your expectations, we offer a refund!
So tell Mom and Dad to bring you in to check out our Pet Store. They'll get whatever they need to take good care of you and you might even end up with a cool new toy or some awesome treats!
See you next week,
Speck

Doggy Day Camp!
Hi, Everyone!
One of the best things that happen here at Laguna Hills Animal Hospital is Doggy Day Camp!
I have brothers and sisters and get to play a lot. But, some Doggies don’t really have anyone to play with.
But here at the Hospital, they sure do! Doggy Day Camp is a great opportunity to make new friends and exercise!
You just need to pass an assessment test to see if you “get along” with other dogs so that everyone is safe. And you can choose if you'd like to play with big Dogs or small Dogs.
| New Friends! |
Then you get to come in for a day of play!
Doggy Day Camp includes two, one hour sessions, where you and everyone else gets to exercise and socialize with new friends!
Don’t worry. One of our Kennel Attendants is always nearby and supervising in case someone plays too rough or tries to steal your toy.
Oh yeah! Toys are also a great part of Day Camp! We have a lot of great things to play with! Including special Doggie “Exercise Equipment”.
| This is one of my favorite toys! |
So if you’d like to spend the day playing with us, get a great work out and make new friends, please give us a call!
Please see the video below for an even better idea of how much fun we have and meet the wonderful girls who take such great care of us!

Dental Health Month is here!
Hi. It’s Speck again.
I just wanted to let you know that it’s Dental Health Month here at Laguna Hills Animal Hospital!
We’re pretty excited about it because it gives our Doctors and Technicians a chance to “clean up” a lot of icky mouths out there.
We offer 15% off all Anesthetic Dental Cleanings, 10% off of all Non-Anesthetic Dental Cleanings and even 10% off of all Dental Products and Diets from our Pet Store!
A dental Cleaning can make a HUGE difference!

Our Holiday Open House!
Hi,
It’s me again.
I promised to tell you some pretty cool stories and you’re
going to love this one!
Last month we had our Open House here at Laguna Hills Animal
Hospital!
We've done our Santa Photos every year for the last nine
years, but this was our second year hosting our Open House. And wow, was it a
success!
For us, it’s a wonderful opportunity to invite all of you to tour our Hospital and get to know our Doctors and Staff! And it's a great chance for us to say “Thank You” to all of our Patients and Clients.
This event also helps our Pets In Need Charity Fund. All proceeds from our Santa Photos ,Bake Sale, Raffle Baskets, Silent Auctions and generous donations from our Clients go into our fund.
The Pets In Need Fund was started twelve years ago, by one of our Client’s daughter’s. Out of the goodness of her heart, Jenna would sit outside at a card table with plates of cookies, raising money for needy pets. What she started years ago,has become our main event here at The Hospital.
Dr. Acton makes it even more successful, by matching every dollar we make!
I had so much fun! I saw Santa and I even had my portrait drawn by a local artist that attended our event!
If you weren’t here to celebrate our event with us, the best
way for me show you how amazing it was, is to invite you to watch the video
link below:
Thank you and enjoy!
See you next week!

Hi. It's Speck!
Speck's Blog copyright Chrissie Ratliff 2013 - 2017
So join me for a glance into our everyday lives here at
Laguna Hills Animal Hospital, and also into the lives of the wonderful animals
and people we care for.
Hi,
It’s “Speck”, here.
My Mommy has worked
at Laguna Hills Animal Hospital, for quite a while and I come to work with her
each day.
I see a lot of pretty cool things while I’m here. And now,
thanks to Angie, our office administrator; I’ll be the new Blogger for our Hospital.
And I couldn’t be happier about that!
I may only be a four pound
Chihuahua, but I have a lot to say!
Some pretty inspiring things happen here at our Hospital,
and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to tell you all about them.
We have some pretty amazing Doctors, a great staff, and some
very special Patients and Clients.
In these Blog Postings; I, along with some “Guest Bloggers”,
will be the voice for other Patients like
me. And I promise to do my best to translate
their experiences here at our Hospital, vividly for you.
In the weeks
to come, I look forward to telling you all many stories….
Happy stories, funny stories, and sometimes
very emotional ones.
But I promise to always leave a smile on your
faces.
Speaking for all of us here, it is both a privilege, and a
pleasure being a part of all of your lives.
See you next week,
-Speck

Dental vaccine discontinued
Unfortunately, the manufacturer decided to stop producing this vaccine in 2011. It was not unsafe, rather no longer economical for the company. We are disappointed but will keep everyone posted if it becomes available again. Dr. Acton
