A Healthly Mouth and a Happy Smile!

Hi! It's me again!

February is national Dental Health Month and I'm here to help you figure out if you might need your teeth cleaned.

First, do you have bad breath?  Are you rubbing at your mouth?  Does it hurt when you're trying to eat? Or maybe you have discolored teeth.  If you have any of these symptoms, it's time to be checked and most possibly you'll need a Dental Cleaning.

If you do have teeth that need to be removed or gums that are red and sensitive or a lot of tartar, you'll need to be sedated. And one of our Technicians and The Doctor will take care of everything while you're asleep!

But, don't be afraid. Getting your teeth cleaned here at The Hospital can be a pain free! We actually do several different types of cleaning. A Non Anesthetic Cleaning can be done if your teeth are in fairly good condition and you don't have any loose ones that have to come out.

Don't worry. Both small dogs and big dogs (even REALLY big dogs!) can get a Non Anesthetic Dental Cleaning. Or what we at The Hospital call an NAD.

Even if you do have to be sedated for your Dental Procedure, it's totally worth it! You'll wake up with a much healthier mouth, no more discomfort when you're eating and fresh breath!

So make sure you tell you Mom and Dad that taking care of your mouth is really important and a Dental Cleaning can make a HUGE difference! And you'll feel great afterwards!

Stay healthy!
