Canine Influenza Vaccine Now Available!

Canine flu is a respiratory infection (similar to the swine flu in people) that can spread when dogs come into contact with infected dogs, contaminated objects and people who have had contact with infected dogs. Symptoms are usually runny nose, coughing, lethargy and fever.
What dogs should be vaccinated?

Dogs that are taken to places where multiple dogs are housed, interact or socialize (kennels, parks, dog day care, grooming facilities)

A series of 2 vaccines is now recommended. A booster vaccination is given yearly thereafter
